  ABOUT

Born in 1978 and former Soloist of the Cathedral of Lyon, France, Matthieu benefited from numerous tours abroad to acquire technics and experience in both baroque and classical sacred / opera masterpieces.

Matthieu developed his voice abilities thanks to three great voice teachers: Cecile DE BOEVER, Leyna GABRIELE, and most recently Sherman LOWE.

While cantor at St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York from 2001 to 2006, Matthieu performed as Soloist Tenor under the baguette of Anthony Newman and Andrew Parrott for Baroque masterworks and recordings such as Faure's requiem, Bach's Mass in b minor and Haendlel's Messiah in various churches and concert halls, including the Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Club, facing Central Park.

Matthieu took part in major events such as the millennium evening on the Vatican’s San Pietro piazza, 9/11 ceremonies at St Patrick’s Cathedral, charity concerts, official parties and private events at embassies and consulates, and Christmas evenings at various cathedrals in Europe.

in Tokyo since 2006, and Hong Kong since 2013, Matthieu joined several groups, including Tallis Vocalis (baroque ensemble) and the Litlle Singers of Tokyo, and performed on world renowned stages, such as the Suntory Concert Hall of Tokyo, the HK Cultural Center and the HK City Hall Concert Hall.

Matthieu also supports regularly Charity organisations across Asia, promoting attention to children and other people without a voice, with past sold-out concerts for Doctors of the World, Maya Nepal (mayanepal.org.np) and Pour Un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE.ong).

  PHiLOSOPHY

Music is a best friend, a confident, a place to dare, a stage to perform, an invisible gift, a vibration on earth, a medium to appease, excite, motivate, a feeling / color enhancer, a connection with spirituality, a common ground with life, a global language.

My work is to discover, work and share both the baroque and classical masterpieces and popular modern songs, for international stages.
